LEVITICUS 19:28 =
"You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh on account of the dead or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD."
LEVITICUS 27:1-5 =
1 The LORD said to Moses:
2 Say to the people of Israel: "When a man makes a special vow of persons to the LORD at your valuation,
3 then your valuation of a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
4 If the person is a female, your valuation shall be thirty shekels.
5 If the person is from five years old up to twenty years old, your valuation shall be for a male twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels.
6 If the person is from a month old up to five years old, your valuation shall be for a male five shekels of silver, and for a female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.
7 And if the person is sixty years old and upward, then your valuation for a male shall be fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels."
NUMBERS 5:31 =
The man shall be free from iniquity, but the woman shall bear her iniquity.
NUMBERS 30 =
1 Moses said to the heads of the tribes of the people of Israel: "This is what the LORD has commanded.
2 When a man vows a vow to the LORD, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
3 Or when a woman vows a vow to the LORD, and binds herself by a pledge, while within her father's house, in her youth,
4 and her father hears of her vow and of her pledge by which she has bound herself, and says nothing to her; then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge by which she has bound herself shall stand.
5 But if her father expresses disapproval to her on the day that he hears of it, no vow of hers, no pledge by which she has bound herself, shall stand; and the LORD will forgive her, because her father opposed her.
6 And if she is married to a husband, while under her vows or any thoughtless remarks of her lips by which she has bound herself,
7 and her husband hears of it, and says nothing to her on the day that he hears; then her vows shall stand, and her pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand.
8 But if, on the day that her husband comes to hear of it, he expresses disapproval, then he shall make void her vow, and the thoughtless blattering of her lips, by which she bound herself; and the LORD will forgive her.
9 But any vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, anything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her."
SONG OF SOLOMON 2 =
14 Oh MY dove, in the CLEFTS of the rock, in the COVERT of the cliff, let me see YOUR FACE, let me hear YOUR VOICE,
because YOUR VOICE is sweet, and YOUR FACE is attractive.
15 Apprehend the "foxes", the little foxes, who spoil the vineyards, because OUR "vineyards" are "in blossom".
16 MY beloved is MINE and I am HIS, he "pastures" his "flock" among the "lilies".
ECCLESIASTES 7 =
20 Surely there is not a righteous person on earth who does good and never sins.
21 Do not act upon to all the things that people say, so that you do not hear your servant cursing you;
22 your heart knows that many times you have yourself cursed others.
23 All this I have tested by wisdom; I said: "I will be wise"; but it was far from me.
24 That which is, is far off, and deep, very deep; who can find it out?"
25 I turned my mind to know and to search out and to seek wisdom and the sum of things, and to know the wickedness of foolishness and the lunacy which is madness.
26 And I found more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are chains; he who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is taken by her.
27 "Hey, this is what I found," says the Preacher, "adding one thing to another to find the sum,
28 which my mind has repeatedly tried to pursue, but I have not found. One man among a thousand I found, but a woman among all these I have not found.
29 Consider, this alone I found, that God made humans upright, but they have concocted many devices."
ISAIAH 3 =
8 Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen; because their speech and their works are against the LORD, defying His glorious presence.
9 Their partiality witnesses against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom, they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil upon themselves.
10 Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, because they shall eat the fruit of their works.
11 Woe to the wicked! It shall be bad for them, because what their hands have done shall be done to them.
12 My people: children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. Oh my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.
13 The LORD has taken His place to contend, He stands to judge His people.
NAHUM 3 =
9 Ethiopia was her strength, Egypt too, and that without limit; Put and the Libyans were her helpers.
10 Yet she was carried away, she went into captivity; her little ones were dashed in pieces at the head of every street; for her honored men lots were cast, and all her great men were bound in chains.
11 You also will be drunken, you will be dazed; you will seek a refuge from the enemy.
12 All your fortresses are like fig trees with first-ripe figs: if shaken they fall into the mouth of the eater.
13 Hey, your troops are women around you. The gates of your land are wide open to your foes; fire has devoured your forts.
MATTHEW 15 =
21 And Jesus went away from there and relocated to the district of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And hey, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and bellered: "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely possessed by a demon."
23 But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and begged Him, saying: "Send her away, because she is [annnoying] us."
24 He answered: "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
25 But she came and knelt down to Him, begging: "Lord, help me."
26 He replied: "It is not fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
27 She responded: "Yes Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table."
FIRST CORINTHIANS 11 =
1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
2 I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you.
3 But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
4 Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head,
5 but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head: it is the same as if her head were shaven.
6 If a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, have her wear a veil.
7 A man ought not to cover his head, being that he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
8 because a male human was not made from a female human, but a woman from a man.
9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
10 That is why a woman must be subject to authority over her head, because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman;
12 because as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God.
13 Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14 Does not nature itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is degrading to him,
15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory, as her hair is given to her for a covering.
16 If any one intends to be contentious, we recognize no such practice [of allowing a woman to misregard her mopheadedness adequate as a prayer covering, or veil], nor do the churches of God.
FIRST CORINTHIANS 14 =
33 God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
34 the women must keep silence in the churches, because they are not allowed to speak, but must be subordinate, as even the Law says.
35 If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home, because it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
36 What? Did the word of God originate with you, or are you the only ones it has reached?
37 If any one presumes that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that what I am writing to you is a command of the Lord.
38 If any one does not recognize this, he is not recognized.
39 So, my brethren, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues,
40 but all things must be done decently and in order.
FIRST TIMOTHY 2 =
8 I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;
9 also that women should adorn themselves modestly and decently in proper apparel, not with plaited hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing
10 but by good works, as befits women who profess religion.
11 Have a woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 I allow no woman to teach nor to have authority over men; she is to keep silent
13 because Adam was formed first, then Eve;
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.
15 Yet woman will be saved by bearing children [instead of utilizing contraceptives, condoms, or abortion homicide], if she continues in faith and love and holiness, with sensibility.
FIRST PETER 3 =
1 Likewise you wives, be submissive to your husbands, so that some, though they do not obey the word, may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,
2 when they see your reverent and chaste behavior.
3 Let not yours be the outward adorning with plaited hair, decoration of gold, and display of fine clothing,
4 but have it be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
5 So once the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves and were subject to their husbands,
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him: 'sir.' And you are now her children if you do right and let nothing terrify you.
7 Likewise you husbands, live considerately with your wives, giving honor on the woman the weaker gender, being that you are joint heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love of the brethren, a tender heart and a humble mind.
9 Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, because to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing.
